FOUNDER & OWNER
I started Shine because I wanted to build something around a simple idea: cleaning that's actually dependable, built around how each property is used rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist. We take the time to understand a space first, and the plan we build for it can change as your needs do.
For me, Shine has always been about more than leaving a building clean — it's about being a partner our customers can count on, taking real care of the properties they've trusted us with, and building relationships that last.
OUR STORY
Shine Cleaning LLC was founded in 2023 by Arica Richter, built on hard work, dependability, and a genuinely personable way of dealing with people — the kind of communication and follow-through that turns a first-time customer into a recurring one. Her husband Steve joined the business full-time that same year and has worked alongside her ever since, with their sons and a few trusted local people helping as the work has grown.
That family-owned, women-owned, locally-run character is exactly what our commercial customers tell us they value most — a property manager or facility manager who wants one dependable point of contact for an office, apartment community, or portfolio of buildings, instead of a rotating crew from a call center three states away. We bring the same standard to the residential clients and select new home cleanings we continue to serve.

We answer the phone, we remember your preferences, and we treat every property — business or home — like it matters.
We walk the property, we quote the job, and that's the price. No posted rate card that never quite matches reality.
My mobile home needed its windows cleaned. I have been living here for a few years now and never once cleaned them. Shine Cleaning came very quickly and was very reasonably priced. Steve and Arica were quick and friendly. They even helped clean off some of the screens and build-up on the windows. Very nice to see a family-owned and operated business working together in the Newburgh area.

For most residential and small commercial customers, very little day to day. It matters if your organization has supplier-diversity requirements or reporting — many public agencies, school districts, and larger institutional buyers do, and contracting a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise counts toward those goals.
